Sen. Mullis Appointed to Deal Transition Team

ATLANTA (November 16, 2010) – Governor-elect Nathan Deal appointed State Senator Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga) today to serve on the elite panel that will guide his transition to become Georgia’s governor in January.  The 26-member Deal Transition Team will advise Deal on policy and budget matters and assist the governor in hiring the key members of his official staff.

Mullis Co-authors Anti-Illegal Immigration Legislation

CHICKAMAUGA (July 6, 2010) – Senate Transportation Chairman Jeff Mullis (R-Chickamauga) will co-author legislation that will provide for greater enforcement of federal illegal immigration laws in Georgia.  Mullis will join fellow Georgia Senate GOP colleagues later this summer for the official announcement of the legislation.

Mullis: Georgia’s Transportation Triumph

The 2010 Legislative Session was one of the toughest in Georgia history.  In January, we faced the worst economic climate since the Great Depression, complete with plummeting state revenues and rising jobless rates.  In the end, the Republican-lead legislature delivered a balanced budget, significant tax cuts, and a more streamlined state government.  We also accomplished that which few thought we could – a transportation funding package that will set Georgia on the right track for stability and economic recovery.
