ATLANTA (September 22, 2020) | Recently, Gov. Brian Kemp signed House Bill 86, sponsored by Rep. Tommy Benton (R – Jefferson) and carried in the Senate by Sen. Jeff Mullis (R – Chickamauga). HB 86 requires a policy to be created for teachers to appeal performance ratings notated in teacher personnel evaluations.

The bill raises the minimum age to purchase or possess cigarettes, tobacco products, tobacco related objects or alternative nicotine products (such as vaping devices) from 18 to 21.
