Sen. Ramsey Appointed Co-Chair of Georgia Vulnerable Adults Study Committee by Lt. Gov.

ATLANTA (July 23, 2010) – State Sen. Ron Ramsey (D-Lithonia) was appointed co-chair of the Georgia Vulnerable Adults Study Committee by Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle. This study committee, which will address the needs of Georgia’s vulnerable adult and elderly citizens, is a result of Sen. Ramsey’s Senate Resolution 57. Sen. Renee Unterman (R-Buford) was appointed co-chair and Sens. Greg Goggans (R-Douglas) and Lester Jackson (D-Savannah) will also serve as members. (more…)

Sen. Ramsey Named to Juvenile Code Rewrite Subcommittee

ATLANTA (Mar. 17, 2010) – State Sen. Ronald Ramsey (D-Lithonia), a Georgia attorney, was recently named to the Senate Judiciary Juvenile Code Rewrite Subcommittee. This subcommittee is tasked with revising and updating the juvenile code to meet the needs of Georgia’s children. (more…)

Sen. Ramsey Hosts Georgia African American Horse Council

ATLANTA (Mar. 16, 2010) – Sen. Ronald Ramsey (D-Lithonia) recently hosted the Georgia African American Horse Council at the State Capitol. Twenty-three elite cowboys and cowgirls visited the Capitol to observe the legislative process first hand and to be recognized in the Senate chamber. (more…)
