Projects Awarded for Georgia’s Coastal Greenway

ATLANTA (September 23, 2016)  |  Sen. William Ligon (R – Brunswick) and Rep. Ron Stephens (R – Savannah) are pleased to share that the Coastal Regional Commission (CRC) awarded $92,000 for six Coastal Georgia Greenway (CGG) projects on September 14, 2016. Five of the projects received $17,800 and one was awarded $3,000. This funding was provided by the state of Georgia. (more…)

Sen. Elena Parent to Honor U.S. Ambassador David Adelman

ATLANTA (September 23, 2016)  |  Sen. Elena Parent (D – Atlanta) will honor U.S. Ambassador David Adelman for his dedication and service to the citizens of Georgia with a bridge dedication ceremony on Friday, September 30, 2016. Throughout his career, Adelman has served as assistant attorney general of Georgia, a state senator and as a United States Ambassador to Singapore among many other roles. (more…)

Sen. Michael Rhett Helped Raise Money for Cancer Patients

ATLANTA (September 19, 2016)  |  Sen. Michael Rhett (D – Marietta) participated in Dancing with the Stars Cobb County Saturday to help raise money for Loving Arms Cancer Outreach, which uses its resources to help cancer patients and their families. Sen. Rhett and his dance partner, Kari Carter, danced a two-step and were one of ten couples competing in the event, which raised over $70,000. (more…)

Community Development Block Grants Awarded to Senate District 20

ATLANTA (September 12, 2016) | Sen. Larry Walker III (R – Perry) is happy to announce that funding for four Community Development Block Grants was awarded to Senate District 20. Four communities will receive federal assistance for infrastructure improvements and neighborhood revitalization. (more…)
