Child Welfare Reform Bill Becomes Georgia Law

ATLANTA (May 7, 2015)  |  On May 5, 2015, Gov. Nathan Deal signed a bill into Georgia law that will reform the Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) and provide greater accountability for child abuse records. The bill also creates DFCS advisory boards and establishes specific measures related to case records. Sen. P.K. Martin Joins Gov. Deal for Signing of SB 108

ATLANTA (May 6, 2015)  |  Sen. P.K. Martin (R – Lawrenceville) joined Gov. Nathan Deal Tuesday for the signing of Senate Bill 108 into law. SB 108 requires insurers to maintain a risk management agenda by completing an Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA), and provides guidance for filling out the ORSA Summary report with the Insurance Commissioner.
